Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ – Weatherford Locksmith Service
Quick answers to common questions about our locksmith services in Weatherford and across
Parker County. If you don’t see your question here, just call or text
(817) 596-4496.
What areas do you service?
We are based in Weatherford, Texas and primarily serve Parker County and nearby
communities such as Aledo, Hudson Oaks, Willow Park, and surrounding areas. If you’re
not sure whether you are in our service radius, contact us with your location and we’ll
let you know.
What types of locksmith services do you provide?
We handle a wide range of residential and commercial work, including:
- Rekeying locks after move-in, staff changes, or lost keys
- Home, business, and basic automotive lockouts
- Deadbolt, doorknob, and keypad installation
- Lock repair, replacement, and hardware upgrades
- Basic master key setups for small offices and facilities
For larger facilities or special hardware, we can discuss options and scope the work
with you.
How do I request service?
You can call or text us at
(817) 596-4496
or use the form on our Contact page. Share your address or general area, what’s going on
(lockout, rekey, new locks, etc.), and any timing preferences so we can give you the
fastest, most accurate response.
Are you available for emergencies and lockouts?
Yes. We do respond to emergency lockouts, including evenings and weekends when
availability allows. Response times depend on where we are when you call and what other
jobs are in progress, but we will always be honest about how quickly we can get to you.
Do you make car keys or only unlock vehicles?
We can assist with basic automotive lockouts and certain simple key situations. More
advanced car keys, transponders, and key programming may require a specialized
automotive locksmith or dealer. When you call, tell us the year, make, and model of your
vehicle so we can let you know what we can do.
Should I rekey my locks or replace them?
In many cases, rekeying is the most cost-effective option. Rekeying changes which key
works the lock without replacing the entire lock body and hardware. We may recommend
full replacement if:
- The lock is worn out, damaged, or unreliable.
- You want to upgrade to a stronger lock, keypad, or smart lock.
- The existing lock is low quality and not worth keeping.
We can walk you through options on-site and help you decide.
How much does a typical job cost?
Pricing depends on the type of work, number of locks, hardware used, and how far we
travel. We can usually give you a ballpark estimate over the phone or by text once we
know more details. Final pricing is confirmed on-site before work begins.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept common forms of payment such as cash and standard electronic options (for
example, major cards or mobile payments) depending on what’s available at the time of
service. If you have specific billing needs for a business, church, or facility, let us
know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Do I need to prove that I live there or own the property/vehicle?
Yes. For everyone’s safety, we may request reasonable proof that you have legal access
to the property or vehicle before unlocking or rekeying it. This could include an ID
that matches the address, a lease, a work order from a property manager, or other
documentation.
Will unlocking my door damage the lock or frame?
In most cases, we can unlock doors without damage by using professional tools and
methods. In rare situations (for example, severely damaged hardware or certain high-
security setups), minor damage may be unavoidable to restore access. We will always
explain your options before proceeding.
Is your work guaranteed?
We stand behind our workmanship. If you experience an issue directly related to the work
we performed within a reasonable time, contact us and we’ll discuss options to correct
it. Manufacturer warranties on hardware are separate and follow the policies of each
lock or hardware brand.
Can I schedule work in advance or set up repeat service?
Yes. Many property managers, small businesses, and churches prefer to schedule
non-urgent work in advance or bundle multiple jobs together. We can set appointments to
fit your calendar and talk about an ongoing plan for future rekeys or hardware needs.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans change. Please call or text as soon as you know you need to
cancel or move an appointment. For certain larger jobs or special-order hardware, a
cancellation fee may apply if we’ve already committed time or materials.
